Micheline Chevrier

Principal


For nearly thirty years, Micheline has worked across Canada as a director, artistic director and dramaturg. As a director, she has worked at such theatres as The Shaw Festival, the Stratford festival, the National Arts Centre in Ottawa, Theatre Calgary, Alberta Theatre Projects, and Lorraine Kimsa Theatre for Young People just to name a few.


From 1995 to 2000, Micheline was the Artistic Director of the Great Canadian Theatre Company in Ottawa, where she programmed four seasons, all thematically based and all Canadian; formed a major partnership with the NAC to develop local artists including directors, actors and playwrights; helped increase funding from all levels of government, as well as contribute to a significant rise in attendance through core programming. While in Ottawa she also served as host for the Governor General’s awards and produced the Y2K celebrations on Parliament Hill.


Residing in Montréal, Micheline has sat on several juries with the Canada Council (operating, projects and special initiatives), Ontario Arts Council (operating, projects and awards), City of Ottawa (operating) and the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec (operating). In 1997 and 1998, Micheline had the great honour of hosting the Governor General’s Literary Awards at Rideau Hall in Ottawa. She has also been a board member for Orange Dog Theatre, Youtheatre and PACT.


Most recently, Micheline acted as Co‐Director of the National Theatre School’s Production Program.

Angie Gélinas

Principal


In recent years, Angie has been providing management-consulting services in organizational leadership, strategic and business planning, fund development planning and execution, financial management, program development and board governance for not-for-profit and public sector agencies and organizations.


From 2001 to 2005, she worked as Deputy Minister - Culture, Youth & Recreation (CYR) for the Saskatchewan government. Her role consisted of advising senior elected officials and public servants on emerging industry trends, stakeholder input/needs and policy direction alternatives and implications. She led in the start-up and organizational development of the Province's newest department - which provided oversight of and leadership for the cultural (Heritage and Arts) sector and industries, the provincial recreation and sports system. In addition, Angie co-chaired the Federal-Provincial-Territorial Deputy Ministers Committee on Sport in Canada and provided policy leadership and oversight of the 2005 Jeux de Canada Summer Games.


From the time she completed her Radio, Television & Journalism Arts Program at Lambton College in 1981, Angie has been actively involved in professional theatre and the professional arts sector across Canada, whether it be as a general manager, board member, jury member or consultant.


She has sat on several boards including the Professional Association of Canadian Theatres, the Association of Cultural Executives, Magnetic North Canadian Theatre Festival, Canada Summer Games in Regina, SaskFilm Corporation, and the Saskatchewan Communications Network.


Angie is currently enrolled in the Masters of Business Administration Program through Athabasca University. She has also participated in the Institute of Public Administration in Canada, and participated in the inaugural John Carver Policy Governance Academy in Atlanta, Georgia.


Recent Calgary based clients include:  Calgary Heritage Authority; One Yellow Rabbit; Alberta Theatre Projects, Calgary Opera; GroundWorks Integrated Arts Collective; WordFest; and Calgary Arts Development Authority.

Patti Pon

Principal


Having completed a role as Vice President, Administration with the EPCOR CENTRE for the Performing Arts (Calgary), Canada’s 3rd largest Performing Arts Centre, from 2004 - 2007, Patti continues her commitment and work in arts and cultural management specializing in organizational change, strategic planning and financial management as a principal in Paradox Inc.  Previously, she has held positions as Technical Assistance Director at the Alberta Performing Arts Stabilization Fund (APASF), and as General Manager and Producer for a number of theatres across Western Canada such as Alberta Theatre Projects (Calgary), the Waterfront Theatre (Vancouver) and Carousel Theatre (Vancouver) and as a founding member of Shakespeare in the Park (Calgary). 


Most recently Patti led a series of dialogues regarding cultural facilities and infrastructure throughout the Province of Alberta for the Honourable Minister Lindsay Blackett, Culture and Community Spirit, Government of Alberta.

As a volunteer Patti has served as a Board member of several agencies including the EPCOR CENTRE for the Performing Arts, the Asian Heritage Foundation (Southern Alberta), the Professional Association of Canadian Theatres and is about to begin a three-year board term for CKUA Radio – Canada’s first public broadcaster.  Patti also served as a member of the Steering Committee for imagineCalgary that resulted in a 100 year vision for the city accompanied by a plan for Long Range Urban Sustainability.  This 18 month, city-led, community-owned initiative was the largest community visioning and consultation process of its kind anywhere in the world.
